Are you looking for a FUN and DEVELOPMENTAL soccer experience that bridges the gap between SBV Recreational and SBV Premier for your athlete?
If your athlete wants more than Recreational soccer, but isn't quite ready for the commitment of Premier (or just isn't old enough!)
Then the Sporting BV Juniors Academy is specifically designed for them, and allows them to nurture their skills, build their confidence, and foster a love for the game in a supportive and step-up environment.
We combined the former Sporting BV Futures & Juniors into ONE incredible new program, which provides a professionally coached pathway for boys and girls in Kindergarten through 3rd grade to grow as a player, grow their love of the game, and develop into a player that can perform at whichever level they choose down the road - soccer just for fun, or something more competitive.
This link will take you to your Sporting BV account. After you log in, just select. All details and info is below.

You can design the greatest curriculum in the world, but if it's not run by people who know how to teach it to your son/daughter, it'll never work and it won't make them better.
So it pays off to know who's teaching it.
That being said, I've got good news because F&J is directed by some of the best coaches in our club:
Tom Mura on the girls' side, and Cris Rojas on the boys side. Both current Sporting Blue Valley coaches with playing and coaching experience.

Tom Mura has been coaching premier soccer for nearly 35 years. He was born and raised in Kansas City and played two years of college soccer at the University of Missouri Kansas City. He has a B Coaching License and is a Grassroots Coaching Instructor for US Soccer.
Tom has coached every age group from PreK through U19 and his teams have competed at the local, regional and national level. His 2009 girls won the Presidents Cup National Championship while playing teams a full year older than them.

Athletic Performance Coach, specializing in technical training focused on first touch, dribbling, passing, shooting, and decision-making.
Position Played: Center Back - Left Back
Player Experience:
From U11-U19, I trained with two professional soccer academies in Chile: Unión Española and Audax Italiano. I also played as captain and graduated from Park University.
Coaching Experience:
7 years of coaching experience, dedicated to individual, group, and team sessions for players from U7-U19.
"When you commit to discipline, you create the foundation for success—one habit at a time. It’s the quiet strength that drives you forward when motivation fades. Keep showing up, stay focused, and remember: progress is built on consistency."

We understand!
The SBV Juniors Academy is designed to complement recreational soccer.
Your child can absolutely participate in both, as our practice and game schedules are intentionally set to avoid conflicts with recreational teams and the Skills Club program.
This allows your child to enjoy the social aspects of recreational soccer while receiving the advanced training and competitive experience offered by our academy.
Thank you for being part of our program, we've got good news for you.
This change is to make things simpler and more beneficial for you and your family.
By merging the two programs into one program, SBV Juniors Academy, it makes registration easier for us to manage, which means we can spend more time coaching and focusing on the field...but it also means that we've combined the curriculum for a COMPLETE, progressive development over the four years in the program.
So you can enter at ANY point in the program, K-3rd, and you'll see development as long as you're with us, all the way to third grade.
It's as simple as that.
We're merging Futures & Juniors into SBV Juniors Academy to make things simpler for us and more beneficial for your athlete.
The uniform stays the same, but we've got a new coaching staff, new and complete curriculum, and an exciting future ahead for all our athletes.
While the SBV Juniors Academy provides a more structured environment than recreational soccer, it's still centered on fun and development.
The curriculum is age-appropriate, and our coaches prioritize creating a positive learning experience.
At this age, it's about building a love for the game and developing fundamental skills that benefit your athlete for as long as they play soccer.
We consider this time of play the MOST important, because it allows us to instill in your athlete the "unconscious" fundamentals and techniques that coaches say you "just can't teach!" when they get to an older age.
Our goal with the SBV Junior Academy is to enrich the love your athlete has for the game, and make them better on the field, so they ENJOY the sport as much as we do and are able to play at whichever level they choose for as long as they want...even if that means taking the SBV Development Pathway all the way to the SKC first team!
The SBV Juniors Academy is designed for players who have some basic soccer experience and a desire to improve.
While complete beginners might benefit from recreational soccer first, our program can work for those with a season or two of rec experience and an interest in more focused training.
Our coaches will work with each player to develop their skills.
We encourage you to communicate with us if your child is having difficulties.
While the annual club fee and coaching fees are non-refundable, registration fees are refundable (minus an admin fee) prior to the season, according to our refund policy.
We want every player to have a positive experience, and the benefit of this program is that Sporting Blue Valley has complete management of all teams, facilities, schedules, and registration.
We can move players to where they fit best, change practice and game times to something that works better for you, and adjust your experience so it fits exactly what you and your athlete want most.
Sporting BV encourages multi-sport participation.
Our once-a-week practice schedule is designed to be manageable alongside other activities.
We believe that developing overall athleticism is important for young players, and it's one of the best way to meet new friends!
